Day 38: The Future

What does the future bring,
What hope can we see?
Envy and strife unending,
How will our children be?

Look at our leaders today,
Most are corrupt to the marrow;
As a child what were they,
That shaped their way to their morrow?

"Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old, he shall not depart from it."
The parents should be the ones to know,
I know, it's a long-standing feat.

Children learn not by mere words you say,
It's what parents do, that is more effective;
The child emulates many tricks when you play,
Why not teach morals and values, and be infective?

The powers that be, they're all old trees,
That can't be straighten if they've grown bent;
We blame the government, almost all families,
Why not instead think to whom our time should be spent?
