Day 24d: More Money vs. Family

Some opportunities knock on your door,
To have more money so we can enjoy more;
But what's the consequence, what will we lose?
When you answer that door, what's your excuse?

You'll have to go, leave us behind,
We'll be apart, you'll be so unkind;
Ideas and thoughts, who will I talk to?
Muscles I depend on, you're much needed here too!

What will the kids miss when you leave them behind?
The times when you play, oh don't be so blind!
The stories you tell each time every night,
Your experiences in life, it is the night's highlight.

The lessons you learned, to them you impart,
To fight life's battle, to be street smart;
How can you be the man of the house?
If you'll leave us behind, you can't, I suppose!

Life may have always been a struggle for money,
But God provided everything, can't you see?
It is more important to have a whole family,
For better or for worse, God designed us to be.
